Samsung first introduced its new wearable form factor – Galaxy Ring at MWC 2024 and is planning to launch it in July 2024. However, before its official debut, some more details about the Ring are getting wrapped off, while, a recent one states NFC tech support for Samsung Galaxy Ring.

As per the information of @kro_roe,  the first ever Samsung product that can be worn on fingers called Galaxy Ring is expected to equip NFC as an optional feature. Yes, this element might be like an option, because, the use of NFC will reduce the average battery life of Galaxy Ring by about one week.

Notably, NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that allows devices to communicate wirelessly when they are near each other and it is available in almost every recent flagship. This feature is commonly used for contactless payments, sharing files, and connecting devices seamlessly.

Accordingly, it’s also important to note that, this is just a rumor at this point, and we’ll have to wait for an official launch to get exact information about the features and functionality of Galaxy Ring. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Ring on July 10 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 Series, and more at the second Unpacked Event 2024.
