Like every year, Samsung is preparing to launch a new smartwatch product line called Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. These wearable devices are expected to be released together with the next generation of foldable smartphones in the second half of the year.

Earlier, there were reports that after 7 years of breakthroughs, Samsung has prepared to phase out the traditional Tizen OS from this year’s smartwatches. Now, a new report claims that Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 will run Wear OS (Google) based on One UI 3.x.

SamMobile reported that Samsung can launch at least three new smartwatches, one of which will have more classic design elements, and the rest will include Active models with sports design elements.

In addition, the code names of these new watches are Wise, Fresh, and Lucky, among which Wise has classic design elements and a rotatable bezel, as well as the two sporty types Fresh and Lucky.

Recently, South Korean media reported that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will not have non-invasive blood glucose monitoring. This was a rumor earlier this year.

At the same time, reliable sources have discovered a new plug-in “water”, which is expected to become a compatibility layer designed by Samsung for Wear OS.
