Samsung is dispatching the features and optimizations of the One UI 5 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 4 users in the US. This new update makes your smart wearable more prominent and offers users a more sophisticated and reliable fitness tracking experience simply on their wrist.
The latest update adds new watch faces and tiles. Users can now make their watch face cycle between pictures in an album or story that they select, or use a new vertical layout to find the watch faces and tiles that are right for them. It also brings more call controls that allow users to adjust the volume, mute sound, and press keypad buttons from the watch.
Users can also dictate text with the Home button by switching to voice input instantly. Additionally, users can use multiple timers at once, up to 20, to keep track of various tasks.
It also improves the Samsung Health app that can automatically record cycling workouts, provide heart rate guidance during running workouts, and map cycling routes. Users can also set whether to automatically map their cycling routes or not. The app can also detect when users start cycling and record their workout automatically.
The consumers of Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 devices will be able to identify the One UI 5 Watch update via the version ending with BWH3 in the US. Simultaneously, to take benefit of the latest enhancements, users will need to download a package of around 1.7GB.
