Samsung restricts Apple users to buy Galaxy Watch, here’s why
Samsung Galaxy smartwatches count as one of the top-most wearables in the market. And why not? These wrist gadgets are full of amazing and effective features that can easily draw your attention to them. Although, the company has taken a new step and restricts Apple iPhone users to buy Samsung Galaxy Watch.
The South Korean tech maker is pulling iPhone users from the selling side of the Galaxy smartwatches. No, it’s not due to rivalry or competition behavior. However, the reason is that Samsung has dropped support for iOS of the iPhone as it could not be able to deliver the same level of experience.
During the Unpacked event, Samsung officially delivered the statement that iOS often shows heavy limitations which becomes an obstacle to providing a comprehensive user experience.
“The goal is: how can we provide the best experience to our customers? We found that some of the heavy limitations [users experienced when using a Galaxy Watch with iOS] were not driven by the Watch [itself] but by the core product”

Due to a lot of disconnection between the two systems, the company thought of dropping iOS support. Hence, Samsung restricts Apple users from buying a new Galaxy Watch. Don’t worry as iPhone holders can still pair with Tizen-powered Galaxy Watches, such as Watch 3 and Watch 2 Active. But the newer ones from Galaxy Watch 4 will not be compatible wearables.
