Xiaomi is all set to host an event on September 26, in which the firm will reveal the Xiaomi 13T series, alongside the Watch 2 Pro. One of the most prominent upgrades that the upcoming smartwatch will feature, is the support for Google’s Wear OS operating system.
Xiaomi has launched a bunch of smartwatches in past years, ranging from affordable to those with a Sapphire crystal front. However, none of these watches run Google Wear OS as their software platform. Instead, the company sells them with its lightweight MIUI skin for wearables.
This is about to change, as Xiaomi has confirmed that its upcoming smartwatch, the Watch 2 Pro, will finally adopt Wear OS. The Chinese tech maker has released the teaser video of the upcoming Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, which shows that the wearable will share a stage with the Xiaomi 13T series at 26 September event in Berlin.
Instead of the support for Wear OS, Xiaomi did not reveal any specifications of the smartwatch. Based on previous leaks it can be said that the wearable will come with some upgraded features and capabilities, to cater wider range of audiences.
