Epic Games announced Unreal Engine 5 is now in early access, gets new tech demo
Epic Games announced today that Unreal Engine 5 is now in early access. The company has detailed the tool in its blog and explained the new features available for initial access.
Unreal Engine 5 is the latest game engine from Epic Games, used by game developers and filmmakers to create their art. Those interested in signing up for initial access and testing the new engine can access it via Epic Launcher.

With the announcement of Early Access, Epic Games released a 15-minute technology presentation called Valley of the Ancient, highlighting all the new, salient features of Unreal Engine 5. Although Unreal Engine 5 is not ready for production, the game has plenty of developers and ts enthusiasts to try and experiment with the tool.
This latest generation completely changes the UI and uses new features such as Nonito and Lumen. Sorts a significant amount of access to features for new UI developers for the game engine.
Content browsers can now be accessed via hotkeys and the Editor tab opens and closes on the right side of the screen. Nanite is a “virtualized micro polygon geometry system” that allows incredible details in geometric shapes in large-scale playgrounds. The lumen feature gives developers the ability to create photorealistic lighting that is compatible with the engine’s geometry and light sources.
