Gamers complain about gaming performance after Windows 10 update

Posted on

The April update of Windows 10, according to an increasing number of players, negatively affected the work of games. Nvidia recommends downgrading to an earlier version of the system.

Microsoft released the April update, but it has the same issues as the previous supplemental patch. Random freezes, unstable frame rates, seems to have broken vertical sync.

Comments appear under the entry describing the problems of other gamers. It seems that the configuration does not matter – owners of processors and video cards AMD, Intel, and Nvidia in any combination write about similar problems.

“I think I have the same problem. After yesterday’s Windows update, Warzone’s frame rate dropped from an average of 90 FPS to 75, and then to 60. ” Players believe this is caused by updates KB5001330 (for Windows 10 version 2004), KB5001337 (for versions 1930 and 1909), and KB5000842.

“If you’re seeing a drop in-game performance, check to see if the KB5000842 update fixes the problem.” On the net, you can find reports not only from players. Users report other errors as well: crashes, screens of death, and problems with DNS address settings.
