OxygenOS 12.1 has new Dark Mode Feature
OxygenOS 12.1 Private Safe and Hide Apps
OxygenOS 12.1 Scouts
OxygenOS 12.1 Canvas 2.0 [AOD]
When we talk about the most significant change – that is Icon. By default, it looks like a round square instead of the circle that OnePlus fans are used to. The good news is that if you don’t like it, you can easily customize it. You can stick to the basic template or use “ART+” to completely customize the look and feel of your icons.
OxygenOS 12.1 has new Dark Mode Feature
In every smartphone, Dark Mode is one of the essential features that users want, and OnePlus has given users the option to change it. However, this feature extends the Oxygen 12 operating system to a great extent. You can now choose from three dark modes: Enhanced, Medium, and Gentle.
Apart from these three modes, you can also switch between other aspects of the smartphone’s appearance. You can automatically adjust the contrast and darken the wallpaper and icons based on the ambient light sensor.
OxygenOS 12.1 Private Safe and Hide Apps
OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1-based Private Safe is something new feature that OnePlus offers. Basically, a OnePlus Private Safe provides a secure place to store pictures, videos, documents, and other data. You’ll need to go through a series of setup steps before you can use it, but once you do, you can switch things off easily.
The new privacy suite also includes the ability to hide apps in place of OnePlus’ unique hidden space feature. The new HideApps system works like HiddenSpace. First, choose the app you want to hide. Then, to access these apps, just swipe left on the app drawer. You can see that hidden events are collected there.
OxygenOS 12.1 Scout
What is OxygenOS 12.1 Scout? This is not really a new feature from OnsPlus. This is because OnePlus has kept it in India for quite some time now. However, global search engine functionality is now included in OxygenOS 12, so it should be included in all OnePlus phones.
Interestingly, Scout is very similar to the device search feature integrated into Android 12. It lets you search for apps, documents, pictures and more on your device. On OnePlus phones, the Scout resides in the shelf, which is a collection of various features of the company’s smartphone.
OxygenOS 12.1 Canvas 2.0 AOD
OxygenOS 12.1 Canvas 2.0 AOD is something new. Well! This is one of the best customization features of OxygenOS 21. Basically, Canvas AOD allows you to set an image as your wallpaper. When the Always-on display is enabled, the wallpaper frame will be displayed on the lock screen.
The version 2.0 update adds customization options to improve the accuracy and scaling of wireframe effects. Choose from new presets that include crayon and pencil-like designs as well as neon-like lines. You can also manually adjust each setting and color to your personal taste.
