AMD reportedly canceled new Ryzen 6000 CPUs in favor of 7nm Ryzen 5000 XT Refresh & 5nm Raphael Zen 4 Chips
AMD Ryzen 5000 series desktop processors use Zen 3 architecture and 7nm process. According to the foreign media wccftech news, a number of tipsters and insiders recently said that the development project of AMD Ryzen 6000 Zen 3+ architecture processor was terminated.
This generation of processors, code-named “Warhol”, was originally planned to be manufactured using a 6nm process technology. Compared with the Zen 3 architecture, the product performance has a slight improvement. Since the development of this series of products has been terminated, AMD will focus on the next-generation Zen 4 architecture Raphael product line.

The whistleblower said that the roadmap for AMD Ryzen 7000 series APUs with Zen 4 architecture has already appeared. Next, AMD will continue to update the Zen3 architecture product line and launch the Ryzen 5000 XT series processors, still using the 7nm process technology.
AMD’s processors and graphics cards have been foundry at TSMC. Foreign media said that AMD’s decision to skip Ryzen 6000 series products is due to TSMC’s insufficient production capacity. The next generation of Zen 4 architecture desktop processors will use 5nm process technology, while the processor interface will also be replaced with AM5.
