Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 is now rolling out for Google Pixel phone

Google I/O 2022 is scheduled to happen on May 11, where the company will make several new announcements and can expect to get tons of news related to Android. Ahead of the next month’s Feature Drop update, Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 is now available for Google Pixel phones.

For your information, Android 12 QPR3 is the next quarterly Feature Drop update, which should be released next month with a bunch of new features to provide an improved user experience. However, after the installation of the latest beta update, the Pixel device owners will not be eligible to grab the Android 13 Beta 1.

So, the users have to wait for Android 13 Beta 2 to get early features. According to the information, the Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 update is rolling out with version number S3B1.220420.005 via OTA medium. However, it is available for users who’ve enrolled in the Android 12 Beta Program.

Speaking about the changes, the Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 for Google Pixel update brings May 2022 security patch for improved system security and fixes some known issues. You can check the complete list of changes below along with the devices.

Resolved Issues:

  • Fixed an issue on Pixel 6 Pro devices where a white line sometimes flashed on the screen after waking up a device that was not configured to always display time and other info on the lock screen.
  • Fixed various issues to improve call quality and connectivity.
  • Fixed a Keystore issue that caused the NHS COVID-19 app to crash when launching.

Open issues cover:

  • In some cases on Pixel 6 and 6 Pro devices, the system crashes when the user tries to take a picture using the camera.
  • In some cases, the Google Camera app icon in a device’s personal profile erroneously displays a work profile indicator
