Android 14 will let you cancel full-screen notifications from apps

Posted on

Android 14 will finally let you manage full-screen ads and notifications from applications. Eventually, users would be able to manually turn on and off the annoying alert pop-ups on their phone’s screen. Let’s grab some more details on this matter.

Spotted by the well-known tech observer @MishaalRahman, Google has imposed a new USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT permission code which is mainly used by dialer and clock apps to show up calls and alarms in full screen.

At the same time, the company is enabling users to manually turn on or off this capability to cancel this permission and unnecessary ad prompts for certain apps as per their requirements. That’s not it! The tech giant will restrict the permission by default for apps that you install from the Play Store. Though this action will take place later this year.
