Android 14 to bring incredible taskbar tweaks on tablets and foldables
Android 14 will be the deck of several surprising feature cards, and one of the useful tweaks could be the taskbar for tablets and other folding devices. In the latest development, Google is planning to add a constant taskbar for large-screen gadgets.
Let us remind you, the taskbar came into existence on devices with the Android 12L operating system. Herein, users would see a list of applications that can be used while multitasking. One can easily switch between these apps using efficient functionality.
However, Android 13 led to a transient layout that ultimately hides the taskbar from the screen, when not in use. The implementation was quite good, but consumers have never appreciated it much, compared to the previous version as it didn’t allow swapping between apps efficiently.
To satisfy its fans, Google is once again making changes to the taskbar for tablets and foldable phones with Android 14. According to the information, the Android 14 beta build has a code entitled ‘ENABLE_TASKBAR_PINNING’. This change will enable users to select whether they want a constant or a transient taskbar on their devices.

All you have to do is, long-press in the space on the screen. One can notice this feature in Samsung devices, which only shows the ‘persistent’ choice. But Android 14 will soon make this feature more useful in the coming days.
