Apple to use self-developed 5G Modem for iPhones in 2025, says Kuo
Apple iPhone 15 series launch is a hot topic of discussion among users these days. But something more catchy has started occupying the space in headlines. As per the revealings, iPhones in 2025 will adopt an Apple-designed 5G Modem chip.
Yes, the company is working on a self-developed Apple 5G Modem and will use it for iPhones, starting in 2025. That says the well-known tipster – Ming-Chi Kuo. So far, the tech giant hearsay to initiate a new modem with the fourth-gen iPhone SE models. However, things are at a halt in this matter.
Meanwhile, the previous report says that Apple will delay the fourth-gen iPhone SE mass production till 2025. Thus, it seems as if the plan is still on but without any major details or confirmation. Probably, iPhone 15 and 16 models will keep relying on the Qualcomm chips.
Though, we may see the change from the iPhone 17 series where the company will try to overcome the production and supply chain challenges. Until then, we can only hope that the company incorporates user-friendly components into its upcoming developments.
