- M4 iPad Pro models face power-on issues after iPadOS 18 installation.
- Apple has temporarily pulled iPadOS 18 for affected devices.
- A fix is in progress, with no clear timeline yet.
Apple has recently recognized a significant issue with the installation of iPadOS 18 on certain iPad Pro models equipped with the M4 chip. According to an internal memo shared with Apple Authorized Service Providers and obtained by MacRumors, a “small number” of these devices fail to turn on after attempting the iPadOS 18 update.
To address this, Apple has paused the availability of iPadOS 18 for these affected iPad Pro models while they work on a fix. As a temporary solution, Apple is advising technicians to attempt a force restart on any affected iPads.
Currently, there is no set timeline for when Apple will resolve the issue, but they are actively working to implement a solution.
