Apple is once again amid a new lawsuit that claims that AirTags can easily be used as a weapon of choice by stalkers and abusers. It further adds that more than three dozen victims have come across their scenario where the AirTag has proven a bane more than a blessing.
The story began in 2022 when two women accused Apple of making an unsafe product. Consequently, these women have been stalked by their ex-partners using the device. Besides, a report says that there are several such complaints regarding Apple AirTags which let the company stands between lawsuit and cases.
“What separates the AirTag from any competitor product is its unparalleled accuracy, ease of use (it fits seamlessly into Apple’s existing suite of products), and affordability. With a price point of just $29, it has become the weapon of choice of stalkers and abusers.”
That’s the words of a recent filing. Meanwhile, the lawsuit asks jury members for a trial of this gadget. So far, the company has not responded to this matter. Let’s see what turns this subject will get in the time ahead.
