Apple Removes Stickers from iPhone 16 Box to Promote Green Initiatives
Apple has decided to remove the iconic Apple stickers from the iPhone 16 retail box, as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. This change aligns with the company’s eco-friendly initiatives, with a clear focus on reducing waste and becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
Over the years, Apple has been gradually minimizing the contents of its iPhone packaging, previously removing items like earphones, charging adapters, and cleaning cloths. Now, they are going a step further by eliminating the stickers that usually come with their products.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will now come in entirely fiber-based packaging, with Apple aiming to remove all plastic packaging by next year. Customers who still want Apple stickers will need to ask for them at an Apple Store when purchasing their phone, as these won’t be available through third-party retailers or online orders.
Re-introduction of the ‘Tap to Provision’ Feature in iOS 18
In another update, Apple has reactivated the ‘Tap to Provision’ feature in the Apple Wallet app, just ahead of the iOS 18 release. This feature allows users to easily add a new debit or credit card to Apple Pay by simply tapping their NFC-supported card on their iPhone.
Though this feature was briefly disabled last week, Apple has brought it back without explanation. With ‘Tap to Provision’, users can skip the hassle of manually entering their card details or taking a photo of the card. However, they’ll still need to verify the card through a security code sent by their bank.

While some users have reported issues with this feature in its initial rollout, Apple is making it the default method for adding new cards in iOS 18.
