Apple iOS 17.1 optimizes screen time sync capability across devices
Apple iOS 17.1 is still running in the beta stage but its release notes hint that the software will optimize the screen time sync feature across all of the Apple devices. The feature has been facing some issues for the past few days but the tech giant said to fix it with the approaching version.
For those who are unaware, the Screen Time sync capability on Apple devices lets parents control their child’s handset. They can manage settings and can restrict device usage to certain times, set time limits for apps, or can even block inappropriate content.
However, some users reported that the respective feature failed to sync across devices within a Family Sharing group. Responding to the matter, one of the Apple’s spokesperson said:
“We are aware that some users may be experiencing an issue where Screen Time settings are unexpectedly reset. We take these reports very seriously and we have been, and will continue, making updates to improve the situation.”
Hence, we could see improvements in the screen time sync feature in Apple iOS 17.1.
