Apple iOS 17 and macOS 14 auto-generates Apple ID passkeys
Apple iOS 17 and macOS 14 have the useful capability of auto-generating ID passkeys on icloud.com and apple.com sites. As of now, you don’t need to learn your passwords by heart as the latest software upgrade has simplified this process for users.
The information reveals that as a part of the iOS 17 and macOS 14 updates, Apple ID is assigned automatically for iCloud and Apple sites, without requiring passkeys. All you need is the latest iOS and macOS version running on your devices. At the same time, this feature also works fine from Safari.
It is worth mentioning that users can manage passkeys on non-Apple devices as well. Just sign in with an iPhone which will lead you to a QR code. Scan the image and hit the yellow link box to invoke Face ID or Touch ID to confirm your identity on the web.
