Apple has recently released iOS 17 with a bunch of interesting as well as useful features. At the same time, it has some effective capabilities that aim to enhance the privacy aspects. Eventually, some reports suggest that Apple iOS 17 is capable of encrypting the titles of voice memos stored in iCloud alongside recordings.
Describing this change, the tech giant said that the encrypted titles of existing Voice Memos in iCloud will only highlight the date and time of the recording on devices running older versions and is finely compatible with Apple iOS 17.
Meanwhile, an official support document reads:
“Because of this additional encryption, when you update one of your Apple devices to iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or macOS Sonoma, the devices that you haven’t yet updated—with older versions of Voice Memos—may display the date and time of the recording (for example, “2023-08-11T07:53:31Z”) as the title, rather than the previous title of the recording.”
