Apple iOS 18 tipped to adopt useful Siri improvements, ahead of iOS 17 launch

Apple iOS 17 is still away from the stable release date and we are already getting new inputs on the forthcoming software upgrade. According to the latest information, Apple is planning to make the virtual assistant – Siri smarter by adding new improvements in iOS 18.

Recently, TheInformation reported that the tech giant wants to make its assistant perform automated complex operations, multi-step tasks with voice-based commands, and more. Probably, these improvements for Siri will show up with the Apple iOS 18 version.

Thus, Siri would be able to manage several tasks at a time. For instance, taking a series of five snaps and converting them into GIFs to send them to a friend – all as one single action. You can still turn your photos into GIFs via the Shortcuts app, but it requires a manual process.

Ahead, the company is planning to bring new capabilities for Siri as part of the iOS 18 update. Probably, Apple is trying to beat its competitors, especially Google by initiating better improvements or at least similar capabilities around the same time.

The American tech giant focuses on security and privacy for Siri but it’s time to take a step in advancement and introduce some interesting tweaks and functions for Apple’s virtual assistant.
