Tim Cook: Apple iPhone 12 was the most popular model during first quarter of 2021

The Apple CEO recently revealed that the base iPhone 12 was the most popular last-line phone in the second quarter of this fiscal year, with Pro models still in high demand.

Tim Cook said the iPhone 12 has been in high demand since it went on sale in late 2020. While the Cupertino-based giant is refraining from providing any specific sales data, the company has previously confirmed that demand is very strong.

The quarterly revenue of the iPhone was $ 47.9 billion, up 65.5% over the same period last year. According to the Apple CEO, the iPhone 12 was the most popular model, and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are selling very well. However, Tim Cook did not mention the iPhone 12 mini.

This indicates a strong lag behind other models in the line. Analysts have previously stated that the iPhone 12 mini is by far the least popular model, and some rumors suggest it will be dropped from the future lineup.

Apple announced the purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini during its April Spring Loaded event, which will go on sale tomorrow.
