Apple iPhone 13 could come with optical in-display fingerprint sensor
After iPhone 12, Apple’s preparations for iPhone 13 are on the way and we are continuously getting new leaks and rumors about the upcoming iPhones. Previously, it is reported that the upcoming iPhones may offer up to 1TB of storage, and also we have seen the early impression of the new iPhones in recently leaked renders.
Now, as per the latest news, Apple is preparing to bring back its Touch ID in a more advanced way. The US tech giant is planning to add an in-display fingerprint scanner in its upcoming iPhone 13 models.
As of now, the iPhones offer FaceID for security purposes and now the fingerprint scanner will also be added to get more authentication. This will be beneficial in case the users are not able to unlock their iPhones with face due to mask or any other reasons.

The Optical fingerprint scanner works with the help of light and it is already available on Android phones. When you put your finger upon the screen that lights up, the camera creates an image of your fingerprint.
The other is the ultrasonic fingerprint sensors which is the latest technology that uses a small sound wave to make a 3D image of your fingerprint. This is more secure than the optical sensor as it works in a different way than the other optical fingerprint and even works when the fingers are wet.
Although, Apple always provides a secure way to the users with its fingerprint scanner. If the company uses optical fingerprint sensors in its upcoming iPhones then surely it will find a way to provide a secure way of authentication.
