Apple is likely to introduce new satellite features for iPhone in future
Apple iPhone 14 series is the first name that clicks to mind when we talk about satellite features. While other tech giants are still wondering about the outstanding functionality, Apple is likely to bring some more changes to the satellite connectivity segment.
Recently, the FCC documents brought in by Globalstar hint that Apple is planning to introduce new satellite internet features to iPhone in the time ahead. With this implementation, the device users will be able to make satellite calls and surf the internet simultaneously.
To be mentioned, Globalstar cooperation has partnered with Apple for satellite technology. Both parties together are making efforts to bring such facilities that could make the connectivity functions more suitable for consumers. And it looks like we will soon see some progress in this concept.
In an FCC filing, Globalstar further denied T-Mobile’s remarks that “mainstream consumer devices do not support reception of Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) signals”. Ahead, the company responded to this claim with the following words:
“Globalstar’s MSS system will continue to evolve over time to support a growing array of direct-to-handset features and services in its licensed spectrum. Ultimately, hundreds of millions of people globally will have Globalstar connectivity at their fingertips in situations where communications are critical, and no terrestrial network is available.”

Notably, iPhone 14 series offers tickets to emergency SOS text messages via satellite when conventional services cannot be accessible. However, it’s time to upgrade these facilities.
