Apple iPhones in US will be subject to national emergency alerts this week

Apple iPhones in the US will face an impact this week due to the National Emergency Alerts test. Eventually, FEMA and FCC will conduct this test on October 04 Wednesday, nationwide. The organization will further inform users about the respective activity by sending messages to all iPhones, TVs, and radios.

According to the details, the National Emergency Alerts test affecting all the Apple iPhones in the US will happen at 2:20 p.m. There will be two portions of this test namely Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).

The former will manage to send the test to TVs and radios whereas, the latter one will take care of consumers using smartphones. Note that the message will use either English or Spanish language as per the language setting of the device. It will read the following words:

“THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”

Ahead, you will hear a noise that is of the same tone and volume as other National Weather Service warnings or Amber Alerts. In case you don’t want these alerts, you can dial a specific number such as 5005*25371# to enable or *5005*25370# to disable test notifications.
