Apple is working on M3 Max chipset with 16-core CPU

Apple iPhone 15 series is in development, but that’s not the only focal point of the company. In the latest edition, Apple is working on a new M3 Max chipset which will ultimately replace the M2 Max processor for the MacBook models arriving next year.

The information further reveals that the Apple M3 Max chipset will uproot over a 16-core CPU with 12 high-performance cores and four efficiency cores. Besides, it will feature a 40-core GPU. On the other hand, the new processor will comprise a 48GB memory and we may find more upgrades in this subject in the time ahead.

Moreover, the M3‌ Max chip is hearsay to build on a new 3-nm process, resulting in speed and efficiency improvements compared to the ‌M2‌ Max chip. The tech giant is testing the respective chip in an unreleased high-end MacBook Pro codenamed J514.
