Posted on

Apple has released a bunch of new software versions and one of them is the macOS 14 beta 4 update. The latest build is making its way to developers for testing purposes. At the same time, it inches one step closer to a stable software upgrade for Mac device owners.

Diving into the details, Apple macOS 14 beta 4 firmware is tagged with the 23A5301g version. Make sure to use an effective internet connection to download the new build. Or else, it may lead to software installation failure.

A few users on Reddit report that after installing the latest beta, the screen turns completely black, making the device non-functional. Though the mouse pointer is visible, nothing else shows up on the display. The issue is mainly occurring on 14-inch MacBook Pro, M1 MacBook Air, and M1 Max MacBook Pro.

For resolving this defect, a user tried recovery mode and reinstalled the beta. Meanwhile, another person opted for multiple reboots. These attempts worked for a few consumers. But not everyone is having their luck in this task. Hence, make sure to install the beta version at your potential risk.
