Despite this, there’s still a possibility that Apple could hold an event in October to announce the new M4 Macs. For context, last year, Apple hosted its “Scary Fast” event on October 30, where it introduced the MacBook Pro and iMac with M3 chips. These devices were subsequently released on November 7, a timeline that could be replicated this year.
Rumors indicate that Apple is preparing to launch four new Mac models featuring the M4-series chips before the year’s end. This lineup includes an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the standard M4 chip, as well as enhanced 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Additionally, a new iMac with the M4 chip and a completely redesigned Mac mini featuring both the M4 and M4 Pro chips are expected.
Except for the Mac mini, these updates are anticipated to be modest, focusing primarily on the upgraded chips. However, for the first time, these models might come with 16GB of memory as a standard feature across the board.
