Apple M1 based iPad Pro delivery time pushed to July
Apple yesterday began accepting pre-orders for the iPad Pro tablets, which were expected to go on sale on May 21st. Deliveries of the 12.9-inch model are significantly delayed, Bloomberg reports.
The main reason is the difficulty in manufacturing new mini-LED displays. According to new data, shipments of almost all 12.9-inch iPad Pro variants in the United States have been postponed to the period from June 24 to July 8.
The tablet is available in two colors, five storage configurations, and Wi-Fi and cellular modem options. It looks like the first to hit the market are 2TB memory models other than 5G.
The increase in delivery time also indicates strong demand for the older model of the new iPad Pro. According to a previous report, Apple asked its chip supplier to increase production of the Apple M1 SoCs in anticipation of strong demand.

The 11-inch models will go on sale in May and prices start at $ 799 in the US. Apple CEO Tim Cook warned that due to chip shortages in the second half of this year, Macs and iPads could be in short supply.
