Apple MacBook Pro 2021 models to equip Mini LED display

Posted on

Apple has begun making changes in its MacBooks, as last year the company has started transitioning from Intel-based processors to its own M1 Silicon chips. The new changes will continue this year too.

There are already several leaks coming which suggests a number of changes for the upcoming MacBook Pro and now as per the latest news, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will come with a Mini LED display.

According to reports, Ruiyi Optoelectronics will become the exclusive supplier of Mini-LED backlight units, and Quanta Computer is said to be responsible for the final assembly of the new notebook.

The report is consistent with the information shared by well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It is expected that new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be launched in the second half of this year.

These MacBooks will come with brighter Mini-LED displays, Apple silicon chips, new flat-sided design at top and bottom, an HDMI interface, an SD card reader, a classic MagSafe magnetic power cord, and physical function keys that will replace the Touch Bar.

Similar to the way the 16-inch MacBook Pro replaced the 15-inch MacBook Pro in 2019, the 14-inch model is likely to replace Apple’s current Intel-based 13-inch MacBook Pro. The narrower bezel around the display makes the 14-inch MacBook Pro more efficient. The volume is only slightly larger than the 13-inch model.

If these rumors can come true, this will be a major reform of the MacBook Pro, and many fan-favorite features will return. In view of the excellent performance of the M1 chip in low-end machines such as MacBook Air and the basic 13-inch MacBook Pro, there are many expectations surrounding the next generation of Apple chips.
