Apple macOS 14 supports Password Manager for third-party apps

Posted on

Apple has kicked off the macOS 14 open beta for public testers with a useful feature that allows Password Manager to support third-party apps. As of now, Mac device owners will be able to use Apple’s Password Manager for filling inputs in apps like Google Chrome, Mircosoft Edge, and more.

This is an effective change that is finally making its way to Mac users. So far, the Apple Password Manager used to support only system and stock apps but with macOS 14, you can take charge of passwords even for the third-party application.

Developers and public beta testers running ‌macOS 14 can use their iCloud Keychain passwords with non-Safari browsers. Third-party browsers can also save new passwords.
