Apple is planning to replace Google Search with the all-new DuckDuckGo option. Earlier, the company was thinking of the same replacement but with a different choice – Bing. However, once again this topic has grabbed changes.
According to the information, Apple has conducted around 20 meetings and phone calls to use DuckDuckGo instead of Google Search for Safari’s private browsing mode. Although the Senior Vice President of Apple – John Giannandrea has not been aware of these meetings and raised questions on DuckDuckGo’s privacy.
Eventually, John said that DuckDuckGo’s reliance on Bing for search information risks sharing user information with Microsoft.
“I would probably insist on doing a lot more due diligence with DuckDuckGo”
Things have not settled down completely on this matter and we may find more changes in the upcoming days. Let’s see which element will replace Google Search from Apple’s ecosystem in the time ahead.
