Apple readying iOS 16.5.1 update for iPhone users

Posted on

Apple has recently unveiled the grand iOS 17 software upgrade for its iPhone fans, and now the company is readying a new build in the form of an iOS 16.5.1 update. Eventually, this will be a short offering for the handset owners before the major release.

It is a well-known fact that iOS 17 is running in the beta phase for the moment. The American tech maker has seeded the huge build for the developers to inspect every aspect of the software and develop their applications accordingly.

Thereafter, the manufacturer will push off an open beta in late June or early July, following the stable release somewhere in September 2023. By that time, Apple is planning to bring better stability improvements and bug fixes for its devices with the iOS 16.5.1 update.

Being a minor build, iOS 16.5.1 will mainly focus on optimizing the overall performance grade of the device, rather than any new tweaks or features. For instance, Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter was functioning abnormally. Perhaps, the tech giant resolved the issue in iOS 16.6 beta, and we could get the fix in the upcoming version.

In addition, iPhone users may find some enhancements for the battery segment, security patches, and optimizations for other major elements of the device. Meanwhile, this upgrade will inch you one step closer to the giant iOS version.

In the current scenario, it is unclear when the iPhone maker will show up the new software release to its users. But an assumption is, we can find the iOS 16.5.1 update by the end of this week or the next coming week.
