Apple has released a fresh update to its mobile platforms – iOS and iPadOS 14.6. The list of new features and improvements is quite extensive.

The first innovation was support for channel subscriptions and individual podcasts. Further, on AirTag and Locator-enabled accessories, you can now add an email address instead of a phone number for use in Lost Mode.

When an NFC-enabled device touches the AirTag, the AirTag displays a partially hidden owner number. In addition, after restarting iPhone for the first time, you can use Voice Control to unlock it. Shazam’s built-in music recognition service is now a blitz app.

Another innovation, though not relevant for Russia, is support for the Apple Card Family, an Apple credit card can be used not only by one person but also by his entire family of up to 5 people.

This version also fixes the following bugs:

  • Unlocking from Apple Watch might not work after using Lock iPhone on Apple Watch.
  • Reminders could appear as blank lines.
  • Call blocking extensions might not appear in Settings.
  • Bluetooth devices could sometimes disconnect or send audio to another device during an active call.
  • iPhone might slow down during download.
