AI technology has become a dynamic subject for tech giants and Apple doesn’t want to remain behind in this race. As per a new report, the American firm is planning to forge AI features on its Apple iPhones and iPad devices in 2024 at the earliest, with an iOS 18 software upgrade.
In recent research, the familiar Apple analyst Jeff Pu said that the company is likely to develop 100 AI servers this year. This number will rise next year with significant changes and improvements. At the same time, Jeff mentioned that the tech maker could offer a combination of cloud-based AI and edge AI (on-device data processing).
Consequently, the company wants to endeavor in every aspect so that AI won’t harm its commitment to customer privacy. Thus, we may see Apple iPhones and iPads with AI features implemented around late 2024 with the iOS 18 version.
It would be worth seeing how the manufacturer uses the AI technology for its devices. Apple has already started working on a ChatGPT-like AI bot which is nicknamed Apple GPT. However, inputs on this matter are still under the hood.
