With the latest round of 16 beta testing, Apple plans to release a public beta of the HomePod 16 software update. On its Apple Beta Software Program website, Apple lists HomePod software version 16 as one of the public beta versions that will be available later this year. It’s listed with iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, and tvOS 16.

“New public betas for iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, HomePod software version 16, and watchOS 9 are coming soon. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can get involved by testing pre-release builds and letting us know what you think. Shape Apple software.”

As of now, there is no HomePod 16 software beta available to developers, so it is possible that Apple plans to release both the developer version and the public beta later in the summer. The only devices currently on sale are the HomePod mini speaker. Apple has previously said that public beta testers will have access to the beta version starting in July.
