Apple Watch Series 10: iFixit shares a closer look
Apple’s latest smartwatch, the Series 10, offers a sleek design and improved features.
One of the most noticeable changes in the Series 10 is its thinner profile. Apple achieved this by using a sealed case, which allowed them to reduce the thickness without compromising the sensor lens assembly. However, this design also makes it more challenging to repair, as the tolerances are very tight.
Inside the Series 10, you’ll find a 327 mAh battery, which is similar to previous models. While Apple has changed the adhesive in their iPhones, they’ve stuck with traditional adhesive in the Apple Watch.
iFixit took a close look at the OLED display and found no significant differences between the Series 9 and Series 10. However, Apple has made improvements to the viewing angles, allowing for a wider range of visibility.
Despite its impressive features, the Series 10 is difficult to repair. iFixit gave it a score of 3 out of 10, primarily due to the challenges in accessing the battery and replacing the bottom glass. This means that if your watch needs repairs, it could be expensive and time-consuming.
Overall, the Apple Watch Series 10 offers a stylish design and improved features, but it’s important to consider the potential repair costs before purchasing.
