Apple watchOS 10.1 beta 2 released, brings the Double Tap feature
Apple has pushed off the watchOS 10.1 beta 2 to developers which finally supports the Double Tap feature. So far, the respective capability remains confined to the newly launched Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra. This is so because the feature can only work with the S9 chip models.
Starting with the software version, Apple is rolling out the watchOS 10.1 beta 2 update with the 21S5053f build number. Meanwhile, the software package weighs around 359 megabytes. Ensure to use a stable Wi-Fi connection to install the latest firmware.
Talking about the new addition, the Double Tap feature enables wearable users to perform certain tasks instantly, using one hand and without tapping frequently on the watch display. All you have to do is double-tap an index finger and thumb together to interact with the Apple Watch.
At present, the latest update is available for developers via the Apple Watch app. Here, visit the General tab in settings > Software Update and then turn on the toggle of the watchOS 10.1 Developer Beta. Eventually, the company will soon align the new offering in the public beta phase.
