Apple watchOS 10 Beta 5 adds NameDrop support for wearables
Apple has recently released the watchOS 10 beta 5 upgrade to developers with numerous changes and one of them is the new NameDrop support for Apple Watch. As of now, you can swap some essentials from nearby devices without any additional requirements.
On the X (Twitter) platform, an Apple fan reported that watchOS 10 beta 5 brought in the NameDrop support for wrist gadgets. So far, the tech giant introduced this facility with iOS 17 preview where you can directly hold your iPhone near the other handset to swap contact details rather than typing.
When two devices will be nearby, it will automatically show up the contact-sharing interface. One tap on this interface will highlight the new contact inputs and contact poster of a person, with the “Receive Only” option.

Note that things only work if your iPhone is running on the latest iOS 17 software update or your Apple Watch has installed the watchOS 10 build.
