Apple watchOS 9.5 Release Candidate version rolling out to developers

Apple is pushing off the watchOS 9.5 release candidate version to developers and public beta testers, starting today. Eventually, this may be the last beta build for testing purposes before the final launch of the smartwatch upgrade.

For those who are unaware, Release Candidate or the RC update refers to the main version that initially heads to the developers. Thereafter, the company will release this version to the public. This won’t require any kind of change until there isn’t a critical bug or technical issue.

In terms of changes, watchOS 9.5 will appear as a minor update for Apple smartwatch users. However, it will accompany a small bunch of improvements and optimizations to enrich the overall experience. Besides, users may observe some new tweaks related to the watch face.

In addition, the watchOS 9.5 is hearsay to introduce a simplified beta installation method that first took place with iOS 16.4. This addition will help developers and public beta testers to enroll in Apple beta programs using a convenient watch app on iPhone.

To install, developers should download the configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once done, the latest build can be downloaded from the dedicated watch app on iPhone. To do so, hit the General tab > Software Update. Make sure that your wrist wearable is charged by 50% of the battery and is paired with the handset.
