Apple’s next-gen Mac mini surfaced in leaked renders with compact design

Posted on

Apple is developing a high-end Mac mini equipped with more interfaces and using the same Apple self-developed chip as the redesigned MacBook Pro.

Currently, Apple’s well-known tipsters Jon Prosser and Ian Zelbo have collaborated to produce a new rendering of the Mac mini, allowing us to see this upcoming Mac for the first time.

According to Jon Prosser’s description, the new high-end Mac mini will have the same interfaces as the current Intel-based Mac mini, including 4 Thunderbolt ports, 2 USB-A ports, Ethernet ports, and HDMI ports.

According to reports, another change of the new Mac mini is the plexiglass-like top, which will be located above the aluminum casing.

Prosser said he heard that Apple is testing two color options for the Mac mini, similar to the newly released 24-inch iMac. In addition, the new Mac mini will be equipped with the same magnetic power port as the 24-inch iMac.

Apple brought the M1 chip to the Mac mini and retained the Mac mini product line equipped with Intel processors. Bloomberg pointed out that Apple may abandon its plan to release a new high-end Mac mini, but in any case, this product will eventually replace the current Intel model with Apple’s self-developed chip.
