OnePlus 10T does not have Hasselblad camera

The OnePlus 10T is positioned as the ultimate performance flagship with excellent imaging capabilities. Well, for this time, the OnePlus 10T does not have a Hasselblad camera for mobiles. This is because the company wanted to offer the ultimate smartphone performance at the price point chosen by the device.

Additionally, OnePlus has replaced the telephoto lens with a macro lens which is only 2 megapixels. And then, the decision to switch from a telephoto lens to a 2MP macro lens was most likely a cost decision, and there could be many products from older phones.

US carriers unavailability

This is a big reason why many people don’t buy US unlocked phones. This is because it usually works on one carrier and not entirely on that carrier. The device works with T-Mobile and has 5G bands for Verizon. There are also some bands for AT&T. In short, you won’t have the best experience unless you use T-Mobile.

As of now, OnePlus hasn’t announced any carrier partnerships for the 10T, but it is likely to happen closer to the September pre-order date. But their phones are usually T-Mobile only and Verizon sold some flagship products, but not the OnePlus 9 or 10 Pro series.

No Alert Slider

The notification slider has been a favorite of OnePlus fans since the original OnePlus One. A small slider on the side of the phone lets you quickly turn on the alarm, vibrate, or turn it off entirely. It’s a simple feature that works really well. However, it cannot be used with the 10T.

Now, OnePlus says that removing it can create a 360-degree antenna that helps signal and strengthen the frame. OnePlus also said that the alert slider is not completely gone.

OnePlus 10T Software Update

Surprisingly, your OnePlus 10T comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12, which provides three major Android updates and four years of security updates. 3 major Android and 4 years of security updates are enough for an affordable smartphone.

Moving on, the OnePlus 10T smartphone launches on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1, so at least Android 15 (OxygenOS 15) is guaranteed. It would be somewhat crazy if OnePlus could offer Android 16 for the OnePlus 10T but at the moment the Chinese smartphone maker only guarantees Android 15, and that’s great.

What more OnePlus 10T 5G is offering?

The OnePlus 10T 5G features a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with Full HD resolution (2412 x 1080 pixels), pixel density of 394 PPI, a maximum brightness of 950 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has a 10-bit display that supports a touch sampling rate of 360 Hz, a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 and is HDR 10+ certified.

Inside the OnePlus 10T is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with integrated Adreno 730 GPU. Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor is built on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and packs up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. The smartphone comes preloaded with the Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 operating system.
