August 2022 security patch is now available in the US for the Unlocked Galaxy S22 and T-Mobile’s Galaxy S21

Samsung is rolling out the August 2022 security patch in the US for the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 series smartphones. The global variant of the Galaxy A23 is also getting the latest security patch.

The August 2022 security patch fixes many privacy and security-related vulnerabilities, which include Samsung DeX, Knox VPN, MAC address leaks, and improper access control.

Samsung Galaxy S22:

After the international variant, the Unlocked Galaxy S22 variant is receiving the latest August 2022 security update in the US. You can identify the latest update by software versions S901U1UEU2AVG8/S906U1UEU2AVG8/S908U1UEU2AVG8 for the Galaxy S22/S22+/S22 Ultra. The Unlocked Galaxy S22 series is also eligible for the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program in the US.

Samsung Galaxy S21:

The same as the Galaxy S22 devices, the international variant of the Galaxy S21 has already received the August 2022 update. This time the update has reached the US for the locked Galaxy S21 units, available for T-Mobile/Sprint users.

You can identify the latest update by software versions G991USQU5CVGB/G996USQU5CVGB/G998USQU5CVGB for the Galaxy S21/S21+/S21 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy A23

The Galaxy A23 smartphone is also getting the latest security update with the software version A235FXXU1AVG2.
