He Long, vice president of BYD and chairman of Fordy Battery, said at the release of the blade battery that the space utilization rate of the traditional battery pack is only 40%.

And the space utilization rate of the battery pack of the blade battery can reach more than 60% that can greatly improve the battery life.

Additionally,  BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu stated that the BYD blade battery is based on BYD lithium iron phosphate technology, and its volumetric energy density is the same as that of mainstream ternary lithium batteries.

The amount of electricity stored in the same volume is almost the same, but the safety is far more than that of ternary lithium batteries.
