Capcom unveiled it is giving away classic Street Fighter 2 game free to all platforms

According to the latest report, the classic fighting game “Street Fighter” series was first released in 1987, and it has been 35 years so far. The latest entry in the series, Street Fighter 6, will also be released in 2023.

To celebrate this moment, and to promote its arcade game collection Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, Capcom announced that it is giving away the classic Street Fighter 2 game for free to all platforms.

Moreover, Capcom launched “Capcom Arcade Stadium” in May last year, which is essentially a free game box that allows players to bundle and purchase DLC for various arcade games.

Yesterday, the sequel to “Capcom Arcade Stadium”, “Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium”, has opened for reservations. Capcom announced in the announcement that it will give away “Street Fighter 2” in the first generation for free until July 22, 2022.
