ChromeOS Gallery app is preparing for Google Photos integration
The latest information reveals that with the next update of ChromeOS, the company might bring new features to the Gallery app to edit photos and videos right inside the Google Photos. Following this, it seems that Google is planning to make the editor easier on Chromebooks.
Currently, the ChromeOS gallery app has some ib-built editing tools including crop & rotate, rescale, add filters, annotate an image, and more. However, the more advanced editing will be done in pro-editor. The source discloses that the Gallery app will son add shortcuts to Google Photos for more advanced and professional editing.

As per the new plan, there will be new options in the editor area, which will open the photo or video in the Android version of the Google Photos app. Afterward, the users will be able to access the Google Photos editing feature including advanced options such as white points, black points, skin tone, vignette, and much more.
But, you need to manually open the Google Photos and fetch the image or video that wanted to edit. All, these are major changes but the major notable thing is the integration between ChromeOS and Google Photos.
