Huawei has started sending a new update for the Huawei Mate 20X 5G smartphone users. These smartphones are getting the December 2020 security update for improved system security and device stability. (Via – Huawei Central)
This latest firmware can be identified by the EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.235 and comes with an update size of 158MB. Other than the security improvements this new update does not add any new features to the smartphone.
The update is currently rolling out for the users in the UK and will soon expand to the other regions as well. Also, it is releasing in batches so it may take some time to reach your device. To download the latest update on your device follow the simple steps given below.

How to update:
Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open the Support app on your device
- Go to the Service tab
- Click on the update button
- Tap on Check for update option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
