Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Camera Specs Revealed

New details about the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s camera have been leaked through the Camera FV-5 certification. This sneak peek gives us an early look at what to expect from Google’s latest foldable phone.

Three Rear Cameras The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will boast three cameras on its back. Both the main screen and the cover display will have their cameras. Specifically, the main camera will feature a 48-megapixel sensor. This camera will use pixel binning to produce 12-megapixel images by default, enhancing the quality of your photos.

It will have a wide f/1.7 aperture lens, supporting both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The camera will offer a 25.5mm focal length, an ISO range from 43 to 17,006, and a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels.

These specs are quite similar to the camera on the previous Pixel Fold, which also had a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture. It seems the new model might use the same camera technology.

Front-facing Camera For selfies, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a 10-megapixel front-facing camera. This camera includes EIS support and has an f/2.2 aperture lens with a 22.3mm focal length. It will provide a 77.8-degree field of view and a maximum photo resolution of 3840 x 2600 pixels.

Interestingly, the previous Pixel Fold had 9.5MP and 8MP front cameras. The new model’s camera may be an upgraded version of the 9.5MP camera, as the specifications align closely.

Other Camera Details While the Camera FV-5 certification did not include information on the other two rear cameras, rumors suggest they will be a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera.

Launch Date Google has confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will launch on August 13. The event will also introduce the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Stay tuned for more exclusive details on these upcoming phones.
