To start the transfer, you must have an active subscription to both Apple Music (or iTunes Match) and YouTube Music. The process is straightforward but can take some time, depending on how many playlists you have. While the transfer happens, your original playlists on Apple Music remain unchanged.
There are some limitations to be aware of:
- Only the playlists you’ve created or own will be transferred.
- Music files, non-collaborative shared playlists, and curated playlists won’t be transferred.
- Playlists will only include songs that are available on YouTube Music. Any other audio files, such as podcasts, audiobooks, or user-uploaded files, won’t be transferred.
Once the transfer is complete, your playlists will appear in the Library tab on YouTube Music. If any songs are missing, it’s likely because they aren’t available on YouTube Music.
