On August 10, 2021, Xiaomi released its latest MIX series smartphone, Mi MIX 4 at the new product launch conference in China. Now, the company has shared the Mi MIX 4’s exclusive feature, namely Smart Charging Protection, on the official MIUI Weibo account.

This feature allows the device to intelligently learns the user’s daily charging habits, delays full charging for a long time, intelligently adjusts battery charging, and extends battery life.
For example, if you have a habit of long charging at night, the Xiaomi MIX 4 will learn the user’s charging and wake-up time through AI, charge comfortably at night and fully charge the battery before the user wakes up to delay battery aging. Below you can check the steps to enable this feature.
HOW TO ENABLE?
Users can enable this feature from the following steps:
- Go to “Settings“.
- Then, click on “Power Saving & Battery“.
- Open “Battery” option.
- Turn on the toggle of the feature “Smart Charge Protection” to enable it.
Although the company officials said that this exclusive feature is currently only available for Mi Mix 4 but according to feedback from online users, the MIUI beta version has supported the feature several months back.
