Upcoming Exynos processor will redefine the standard for premium mobile experiences: Samsung

Following the announcement of Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm, its tough rival Samsung has also started preparing to unveil its new Exynos chipset. On December 3rd, 2020, Samsung Exynos made a comeback on social media after a long interval and shared a post containing the text of “Hello, World!”.

Later on, the South Korean tech giant has officially announced that its newer Exynos SoC will be officially launched on January 12, 2021. The posted teaser showed us an ending with a text of “Exynos is back”.

According to the info, Samsung has published the invitation of the virtual launch event of its upcoming Exynos processor on January 12, 2021, at  9 a.m. EST or 11 p.m. KST. The special broadcast event can be joined via the Samsung YouTube channel, Samsung Newsroom, or the Exynos website.

Last month, Qualcomm has officially unveiled its latest 5nm based Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset. Moving forward, Xiaomi has launched the first Snapdragon 888 powered Mi 11 smartphone in late December.

As we know, Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S21 series on January 14, 2021. These devices are expected to powered by the latest SoC of Qualcomm. Furthermore, the company launches its own Exynos powered smartphone in several regions including Europe.

The upcoming Exynos 2100 (tentative name) is expected to have a Cortex-X1 CPU core, three Cortex-A78 cores, four Cortex-A55 CPU Cores, and the Mali-G78 GPU. While some leaks also suggested that Samsung has used the older 7nm process technology to build the newer Exynos chipset instead of the latest 5nm process.
